One reason I really dislike FedEx is their online tracking system.  Or, more precisely, their lack of an online tracking system.  Oh sure you can go log into their website and put your tracking number into the box, but if it’s not been delivered yet you will only see origin scans and pickups.  They do not ever bother to update the current location of your package in their online tool.

In my opinion, they may as well remove this from their site since it provides exactly ZERO usefulness.

FedEx, you suck!

I am attempting to integrate facebook connect login to work with the site. Basically, if you have a facebook account, you can click register and allow email/etc and it will pull your info from facebook for your account. Then you can simply login that way.

I still have to moderate comments at the moment. I don’t totally trust everyone. ;)

Looks like it works to me. It does NOT work in the Developer Version of Google Chrome, however. Not sure why. But it seems to work in IE and Firefox.

Jay Leno is the Brett Favre of Late Night. He’s an unfunny predictable racist geriatric who retells the same jokes over and over and over. Unfunny jokes at that.

Conan is fresh, brazen, and very funny.

I will NOT under any circumstances ever watch Leno again after this and my plans to watch NBC in general are now at an all-time low. The only show worth watching is Heroes anyway. I will follow Coco where ever he goes.

GO TEAM COCO!

Since I no longer have the hand dexterity to build it myself, I’m going with Vigor Gaming for my next PC. I’m looking at their Hornet specced the following way:

Intel Core i5 @ 2.66ghz w/8M cache
Vigor’s Paladin II Antec Case with Vigor’s famous ventilation/cooling options.
550 Watt PSU
MSI P5-5M-GD-45 Motherboard
8GB of Kingston 1333mhz ram.
1TB Hitachi SATA II hard drive
ATI Radeon HD5850 1GB @725Mhz Video Card
LG GGC-H20LK SATA Blu-ray/HD-DVD-ROM & 16x DVD+rw
7.1 onboard sound.
Windows 7 Premium 64 bit.

With my diligence at finding killer discount codes, this will set me back $1316 shipped.

Edit Updates:
January 11 – Ordered the PC from Vigor Gaming.
January 12 – Vigor called and told me my address did not match with Mastercard. Interesting because I just got the card in June and I most certainly have not moved. Gave them my bank’s number. Later that evening, I was emailed and told it was all sorted with the bank. I suspect my bank actually flagged it originally because they know I don’t generally spend more than a couple hundred dollars at a time. They love me.
January 14 – Tried to check status on Vigor’s website. Their status system seems to be broken so I emailed them. I was told that it was on schedule and would be shipped on or about January 25th. I will re-inquire on the schedule on the 18th.
January 27 – It was due to be shipped on the 25th but was running a day late. Then on the 26th, I was informed that Mastercard has the wrong address on file so the bank had to be contacted to verify my address I had provided. It was shipped today and is due to arrive February 2.

I’ve been saving for a new PC hoping I can manage to cobble enough together before this one eats it hard (it’s still hanging on at this moment).  It will freeze up with just Notepad running. lol. Pretty sure the components all got over-voltaged from a bad psu. Even tiny apps will shoot cpu usage to 100%.

Anyway, I’m about $400 shy of getting what I want/need to be happy.  I’m looking for an i7 triple channel ram system with blu-ray and an nvidia 260gtx.

If anyone is feeling generous, feel free to donate. :) It will go to making a disabled girl very happy.

Oh, I knew there were talks about this but I was hoping it wouldn’t become true. This is a bad thing. I don’t really see how this can be an improvement for viewers unless you’re a Comcast customer. They want to turn Hulu into a pay service and charge other providers higher rates to carry NBCU channels like Syfy and USA. So not good. I just hope that when the regulators get their mitts on this deal that they lay down some stipulations regarding creating a monopoly on the NBCU channels and not screw non-Comcast customers. You should be able to read more about this later today on CNN or NBC’s own site. It was just announced on the Today show.

I have changed the theme again. I really like this one much better. Lots of options to set up. :)

2009 has been an interesting year to say the least.

A. I am thankful for Sara.

Without her, I would go insane. I love you.

B. I am thankful for my family.

Not just the people I live with mind you, but those who keep in touch all the time, including the ones I rediscovered through Facebook. Sometimes they frustrate me; but that’s just how life goes.  But, other times, it’s a total blessing and I am thankful for them. I love you Tod, Paula, Mikey, Moni, Melissa, and Cory!  I am also thankful for my niece Brandy for keeping me entertained with her trials and tribulations. lol.

C. I am thankful for my friends.

Not just my real life friends, but even some of my online pals who I’ve never met in person.  Jarly is really the only one I socialize with in person any more. I miss hanging out with Mike. I have no idea where he’s been.  But, my online pals are just as important to me; like Larry, Tim, Monte, Susan, Helen, Mandy, Ed, and Gale. Even Dana (aka Fink).  I adore you all.

C. I am thankful for Facebook.

I joined facebook. This allowed me to find some of my old college friends that I haven’t heard from since I graduated in 1992.  Shout outs to Tony, Allen, Gary and Andy! Can I get a “schwimmenfische and nudenfladt”?  Also, through a fluke, I rediscovered my cousin Jessi on facebook which has allowed me to reconnect with someone from my early childhood.  She’s also pretty dorky like me which is good. lol.

D. I am thankful for the internet.

Yeah, that’s right; the internet.  It’s my primary outlet into the world since I am disabled and home bound.  It’s let me connect with my family outside my home, meet really great friends online, allow me to absorb information and educate myself; and even play Shot-Online.

Things could be worse.  I am thankful that they are not.

Au revoir mon amie.

Us

Tendrils of mist envelop the ground.
Ethereal.
Moonlight glistening in the darkness.
Umbral.
Breathy whispers in the shadows.
Sibilant.
Nubile flesh writhing in passion.
Erotic.

I decided to try a different theme and see how much I like it. Hope you like it!
