I'm Elaneous!

I updated the Shot-Online Static Page with my hard rough guide. Enjoy!

A big shizzout to those that “passed” the retest by having someone take it for them. Fabulous accomplishment! You should be so proud you decided to cheat to get a status on an online video game. Funny, when I play with you and see how much ass you suck, I’m going to know you are the flaming cheater that you are.

To those the passed on their own accord, I salute you for making it past the graduates and level 100s that took all these retests for people.

I’m going to post my hard rough guide and putting guides soon. Working on them for publishing. The hard rough/sand guide is pretty much done.

So I made a facebook account. I know, big whoop de do. All the cool kids are doing it!

Here’s my official Facebook page. Accept no imitations.
Elaneous on Facebook!

I play a few apps too. Mafia Wars, Vampire Wars, and Street Racing. If you play them too, add me as a friend. :P

I have been entirely over-depressed today.. and nobody seems to want to give me any comfort or attention to make me feel better. I hate life sometimes and the people in it.

What’s the deal with people who insist on being drama whores in social situations?  Notably Shot-Online.  There’s a few people who like to go around talking shit about me that is completely untrue and unwarranted.

I mean, someone asks where some of our guild members went and I calmly stated that they left for $OTHER_PERSON’s guild and now someone who has access to our forum is now telling $OTHER_PERSON that I am saying despicable horrible things about him on our boards!  Come on!  I did absolutely no such thing.  Not to mention $OTHER_PERSON insists on saying I don’t play with other guildies or help them — which I do EVERY DAY for several hours a day.  No, I don’t stay in the game for 15 hours a day like some people because well, I have other things I like to do, too!  I leave at 9pm EST most days.  Don’t like it?  Too bad.

These children really need to turn off their internet and play XBox or Playstation.  They have no business being in a MMOG where they have to forge social interactions.

I have seen the future: Windows $NEXT_VERSION Milestone $MOCKUP [today.com].

I tried it on a low-end laptop with four Core 2 Duo chips and only 8 gig of memory, and trust me: $NEXT_VERSION is shaping up to be one heck of a product.

WordPad and Paint have seen major overhauls to their user interfaces. Forget the freetards and their “distros” full of all sorts of useless shovelware like “FireFox” and “OpenOffice” and, haha, “GIMP”! — the bundled software with Windows $NEXT_VERSION is clear, simple, sparse and to-the-point. The much-loved $HATED user interface from Office $HATED_VERSION is now part of WordPad and Paint!

The controversial Digital Rights Management system in Vista has been worked over, with user-downloadable “tilt bits,” which you can configure to your own liking. It’ll require every user to supply a blood sample for DNA analysis, and the beta nearly took my finger off, but of course that’s only if you want to play premium content. The Blu-Ray(tm) of Battlefield Earth was unbelievable on this operating system.

A public beta should be released by the end of this year. There’s just no way that Steve “Trains Run On Time” Ballmer will miss the Christmas deadline. The final release should leave the midnight queues on $NEXT_VERSION release day — the street riots, the water cannons, the rubber bullets — in the shade.

I am so excited about $NEXT_VERSION of Windows. It will go beyond just solving all of the problems with $CURRENT_VERSION, it will be an entirely new paradigm. Forget about security problems, those are all fixed in $NEXT_VERSION. And they’re finally ridding themselves of $ANCIENT_LEGACY_STUFF.

Also, there’ll be $DATABASE_FILESYSTEM. It’ll be awesome!

I wonder how $NEXT_VERSION will compare to $NEXT_NEXT_VERSION.

^^ the above is pure humor

Am I the only person getting sick of his economy jokes EVERY SINGLE night?

It really is getting old.. old.. and OLD!  To me, he’s become rather unfunny and single-minded with his jokes.  Same thing every damn night — plus the overuse of the “Hooray for Hollywood” tune with it.

Crimony Jay, get some NEW MATERIAL!

My desk chair broke today.  Due to the way my leg is swollen, I have to use a fairly heavy duty chair ($200 price range).  I cannot afford to replace it til at least May or June.

Unless of course someone is feeling generous.  Not that I’m asking.  I will survive.

I have now owned the Logitech Cordless Wave Keyboard Pro and the MX1100 mouse that came with it for a little over a month and have decided to review it and my experience. It is the 2.4ghz model.  Here is the Product Page.

First of all, I ordered it directly from Logitech’s website.  I received free shipping and 30% off with a promotional discount, so I got it shipped for $105 instead of the usual $129 plus shipping.  They also profess to ship items in stock on the same day, which they do not.  My experience was that my item wasn’t shipped for 3 days.  Sales is unable to have any contact with warehousing as I called to ask about the shipment and was told they could tell me nothing.

Overall, the ordering experience was a C-.

The Keyboard

It’s very comfortable to type on.  I had been using a Microsoft split keyboard prior to this purchase and it required a couple of days of adjustment.  The palm-pad/wrist-rest is very cushy and has somewhat of a fabric feel.  The keys give a bit of a tactile response when pressed and are all the same size (except for special keys like shift, alt, ctrl, and such).

It does not have an insert key above the arrow keys, which I miss every single day.  This, to me, is quite annoying, but it does seem that almost every keyboard coming down the pipe is missing it.  It has a load of special keys including a few which are apparently Vista specific that pretty much do nothing for me since I use XP Professional.  It has standard media keys as well.

My biggest complaint is that it has a very laggy response when pressing keys sometimes.  Usually, after not typing on it for several seconds, when you start typing it ignores a key at the beginning.  The response timing is horrible.  This keyboard is definitely not recommended for a gamer.  I am going to go back to my Microsoft Natural Elite until I find another corded keyboard and only use this when I NEED to use a cordless keyboard (i.e. not when sitting behind my desk).

Overall, I give the keyboard a B+.

The Mouse

The mouse is an MX-1100.  Logitech sells this mouse separately as well.

It is the most uncomfortable mouse I have ever used.  I would rather use a tiny half-mouse designed for a laptop.  This mouse absolutely requires the user use a claw-grip which makes absolutely no sense as it’s not a gaming mouse.  (I am a palm-grip user.)  It has horrendous response time.  If you let it sit more than 3 seconds you have to jiggle it back and forth for it to start being sensed again.  While this is by design; it’s to save battery life.  It’s positively annoying when you’re trying to do something like fine-tune precision movements as it will shut itself off while you’re doing it!

The entire front of the mouse slants forward, forcing you to hold it claw-grip style or pushing your entire hand forward at a 40 degree angle to use the buttons.  But, the buttons do work.  I guess I can say that.  The DPI settings available in the setup allow you to pick several different settings, but the mouse buttons on it only allow you to choose two.

Overall, I give the mouse an F.

I would buy the corded version of the keyboard, however.  After this experience, I will not be looking for any more cordless keyboard or mice, unless they are a high-end brand like Razer.
