I have decided that I am never buying another Lasko product again for the rest of my life.  The last two fans I have purchased that were Lasko products have been extremely shoddy and had a seriously decreased lifecycle.

After having one for about 11 months, I had just bought another of their 18 inch oscillating stand fan back in November and rarely run it above medium.  Actually, given that the first one lasted less than a year I should have been wiser.  Anyway, Monday night at 4am, the one I purchased in November bit it hard… I thought it was going to last, but it kept getting slower and slower and slower and starting making some truly obnoxious noises that fans should not make!  It finally came to a griding and loud halt, meeting its death at approximately 4am leaving me without a fan to sleep with.

That’s two Lasko fans in 16 months that have simply dropped dead on me and I meticulously clean them and dust them out with compressed air.  I have determined they are junk.

The new one is a Honeywell that I had shipped overnight.  Amazon Prime is nice. :) I will probably review it and post about it.  The thing blows more air on low than the Lasko did on high.

Am I the only person who finds media and print ads that tell you to “click our website!” thoroughly annoying?

Please explain to me what exactly I am going to “click” in order to get to your website if I do not have a shortcut or bookmark to your site?

One must “type” a website into their browser in order to “visit” it. The correct terminology to request persons peruse your site is to refer to it as a “visit”, as you must “type” it in for whence to go to it.  If one were to follow their reasoning, one would “click” a letter to their loved ones, or “click” up a memo for their boss.

You sound completely moronic when you tell me to “click our website today!”

To loosely paraphrase Ted Stevens (R) of Alaska: “it’s like saying the internet is a series of tubes and can get clogged with… internets.. I got an internet last week… but it didn’t arrive til today..”

Oh yes.. yes indeedy.  Yet another double day thrown together by Shot-Online with the EXP boxes on sale of course, with the price hike.  Mmhmm!  But now they’ve jammed in those spiffy experience putters and charging $32 for what amounts to 4 scratch-off tickets.

And of course, the weather is ramped for the double day already.  We have seen some atrocious weather so far this morning that no golfer in their right mind would play in.  It really is disgusting!  By all means I should be clearing 0.5% per hour with this d4, yet I have only managed to gain about 1.0% in 2 hours and a half… all because of garbage holes and horrid weather… on Gold Server no less.

If we had no mag and it wasn’t double day it’d be the prettiest holes and most delightfully sunny weather you ever saw for miles.

Yes, I’m annoyed.  It will be nice when I am Level 100.

I am having the distinct pleasure of configuring a PC for my niece.  Naturally, all new PC’s are coming with Vista.

Vista is an abortion.  Plain and simple.  It backstabs you at every possible step to accomplish anything even remotely productive.  Every time I try to install something, it absolutely refuses to let me to do.  I’ve turned off UAC, Firewall, Defender, and even nuked the antivirus software on it and it STILL somehow refuses to allow me to accomplish anything — so much as refusing to allow me to copy files through the network.

And of course not to be outdone, even if I manage to get the files to it’s own freaking hard drive, it then simply informs me that I don’t have the permissions to access that file. LOL.

I want to swear a tirade that would make a gaggle of sailors blush in deep deep shame right now.

Thanks for stopping by my Musings. I am currently in the process of setting things up with WordPress.
